Shopping

While all your day to day shopping requirements can easily be met with a quick trip to Turre or one of the other local towns.

An excursion further a field will reveal a varied mixture of boutiques, markets, shops and towns that can provide for an interesting outing in itself.

Less than fifteen minutes in the car from Cabrera is the local town of Turre, which has two supermarkets, an open air market on Fridays and an adequate array of local shops that is sure to meet all your villa needs.

A little further down the road is the traditional hilltop village of Mojacar pueblo with its whitewashed buildings and narrow cobbled streets. A mixture the old and the bohemian gives Mojacar an interesting air. Small boutiques, curiosity shops and Art galleries make browsing enjoyable while the rabbit warren of narrow streets seem to host surprises round many a corner.

On the coast, beyond Mojacar, is the more modern town and summer resort of Mojacar Playa. Very much more subdued than its rivals on the Costa Del Sol or Costa Blanca it nevertheless is home to a fashionable and modern shopping centre where you can spend till your hearts content.

Slightly further away the ancient towns of Vera, Garrucha, Nijar and Agua Amarga all have their own appeal. Nijar is famous for its traditional ceramics while Garrucha hosts a modern fishing port, marina and a plethora of renowned fish restaurants.
